Traits are modifiers for your hospital Staff. Every staff member has between 1 and 3 traits, and can have any combination of them, unless the traits conflict (such as Lazy and Tireless). There is no way for staff to lose or gain traits.

Entertainer Class Clown Entertains people with their sweet dance moves. Reduces patient boredom by 100 when processing them. Reduces patient boredom by 80 when talking (and dancing) with them during breaks. Conflicts with Boring.
Cheap Reduced salary expectations. Will work for peanuts. Reduces salary by 10%. Conflicts with Expensive.
Fast Learner A quick learner that should develop quickly. +50% Learning Speed. Has potential. Increases experience gain and qualification training speed by 50%, which stacks with the Training Masterclass qualification and the Brain Chair boost. Conflicts with Stupid.
Funny Makes people laugh. Funny. Reduces patient boredom by 40 when talking with them during breaks.
Green Fingers Likes to water plants when idle. Green fingers. Staff may water plants when idle in rooms or during breaks.
Healer Increases the health of patients. Has magic healing hands. Increases patient health by 5 when processing them. It's a rare trait, and only doctors and nurses can have it. Conflicts with Evil.
Heart-Throb The target of unrequited idolization. The boy/girl next door. May give patients/staff the "Has a Crush" buff when interacting with them, which increases their movement speed by 15%1 for a short time.
Hygienic Likes to stay clean and hygienic. Hygienic. Passively increases staff hygiene. Conflicts with Unhygienic.
Inspiring Inspires other people. Inspiring. May gain and increase patient/staff happiness by 5 when talking to them during break.
Motivated Walks faster than normal speed. +20% Speed Motivated. Increases movement speed by 20%1. Conflicts with Unmotivated.
Positive Happiness is higher than average. +10% Happiness Positive. Passively increases staff happiness over time. May increase patient/staff happiness when talking to them during breaks. Conflicts with Grumpy.
Romantic Constantly falling in and out of love. Thinks their life is a romcom. When talking to patients/staff during breaks, both characters may gain 30 happiness, as well as the "In Love" buff, which increases their movement speed by 15%1 for a short time.
Teacher Whizzes through any syllabus. +50% Teaching Speed A natural mentor. Increases teaching speed by 50%, which stacks with the Training Masterclass qualification.
Tireless High energy. Works longer before needing a break. Slows down energy depletion, allowing staff to work for roughly an extra 33 days (99 days if they also have the Stamina Training qualification). Conflicts with Lazy.

Evil Enjoys doing evil things. Has a dark side. Decreases patient health by 5 when processing them. An uncommon trait, conflicts with Healer.
Gross Makes people feel sick. Nausea inducing. Makes patients/staff around them more likely to vomit.
Grumpy Happiness is lower than average. -10% Happiness Grumpy. Happiness decreases more rapidly. Conflicts with Positive.
Hangry Becomes nasty when hungry. -10% Happiness Hangry. When "Very Hungry" (over 80% hunger), staff receives the "Hangry" debuff, which lowers happiness over time, reduces patient/staff happiness by 5% when processing them, may reduce patient/staff happiness by 10% when talking to them during breaks, and occasionally have an outburst which gives nearby patients/staff the "Annoyed" debuff, which last a very short time and lowers happiness over time.
Lazy Wants more frequent breaks. Tires easily. Speeds up energy depletion, forcing staff to work for roughly 22 days less (37 days if they also have the Stamina Training qualification, when compared to staff without the trait, but the same qualification). Conflicts with Tireless.
Litterer Drops litter around the hospital. Litterer Regularly throws trash on the ground when idle (doctors, nurses, and assistants) and during breaks (all staff).
Nasty Upsets other people. Nasty. When processing patients, staff reduces their happiness by either 2% (if staff happiness is under 40%) or 4% (if under 20%), may reduce patient/staff happiness by 10% when talking with them during breaks, and occasionally have an outburst, which gives nearby patients/staff the "Annoyed" debuff, which last a very short time and lowers happiness over time.
Short Temper Becomes nasty when unhappy. Short temper. When their happiness is under 40%, staff reduces patient happiness by either 5% (if a doctor or nurse), 10% (if an assistant), or 12% (all staff when their happiness is under 20%) when they process them, may reduce patient/staff happiness by 10% when talking to them during breaks, and occasionally have an outburst, which gives nearby patients/staff the "Annoyed" debuff, which last a very short time and lowers happiness over time.
Sleepy Will fall asleep, at random, every now and then. Suffers from spontaneous bouts of snoozing. When idle (doctors, nurses, and assistants) and during break (all staff), staff may fall asleep for a short time.
Stupid A slow learner that will take some time to develop. -25% Learning Speed Cheese for brains. Reduces experience gain and qualification training speed by 25%, which may be nullified by the Training Masterclass qualification or the Brain Chair boost. Conflicts with Fast Learner.
Toilet Rage Gets angry when they need the toilet. -10% Happiness Gets toilet rage. When "Desperate For The Toilet", staff gains the "Toilet Rage" debuff, which lowers happiness over time, reduces patient happiness by 5% when processing them, and occasionally have an outburst which gives nearby patients/staff the "Annoyed" debuff, which last a very short time and lowers happiness over time.
Unhygienic Doesn't wash their hands. Unhygienic. Staff loses hygiene at a faster rate and won't wash their hands after going to the toilets. Conflicts with Hygienic.
Unmotivated Walks slower than normal speed. -20% Speed Unmotivated. Decreases movement speed by 20%1, which may be mitigated by the Motivation qualification or the "Energised" buff. Conflicts with Motivated.
Weak Bladder Needs the toilet more often than most. Weak bladder. The toilet gauge lowers 5 times as quickly.
