- "The story goes that the ancient civilisation at Overgrowth used to live in perfect balance with its super-smart trees; but somewhere along the road, the people lost their way. So the plants grew into an impenetrable forest, and were like "hey, get out of here" to the people. I'd love to have seen it in its heyday, man. That's where I'd belong!"
- ―Harrison Wolff
Overgrowth is the second hospital in World 7 of Two Point Hospital, which requires the Pebberley Island DLC. To unlock it, the player will need to reach Star Level in Pebberley Reef. The new Plot Challenge Mode is introduced here, in which all plot are unlocked not with cash, but by completing objectives, which in turn will unlock the three Star Levels.
A new clinic illness, Wanderust, will make its first appearance, along with the Escape Room, in which it can be treated.
Career Mode[]
Morale is paramount, Giles. It's important that we don't let them know how disappointing and fruitless our first stop was.
Let's start with... My friend, your performance outdid your already steller reputation. Do not be disheartened, Pebberley Reef was the logical starting point, but only the beginning! We have great hopes for finding the spring on our next stop further inland. As they say, Hogsport wasn't built in a day!... it took at least a few days, I'm sure.
Race you to the jungle, eh! On that note, has accommodation been finalised for the next leg, Giles?

Welcome to Overgrowth. It's hard to believe, but a community used to live at the heart of this jungle before it got angry with them and, you know, 'over grew'. People who had lived here for millennia were forced to leave their home, and live down the road a bit.
The plants here are pretty judgemental, for vegetation, but might respond positively if you care for the people and restore balance to the area. When we arrived we found incomprehensible word and number sequences written into the bark of some of the trees. Try as we may, we just couldn't make any sense of "Cure 10 Patients", you should probably take a look. Good luck and, remember, the trees are watching!
Plot Challenge Mode[]
A new mode of play is introduced in this level. Money and patient care work in the same way, but plots are now acquired by fulfilling targets, in a similar way to the Target Challenge Mode of Duckworth-upon-Bilge. In this case, the objectives are often more involving, and must be selected by the player manually.
Up to three plot objectives can be active at any given time, and when the objective has been achieved, the plot will unlock in 10 days, although the next objectives can be immediately selected. The Plot Information section below specifies the neceessary goals, and which plots are required in order to unlock others.
