The Marketing Room is unlocked during the Initial Objectives of Flemington; it is a facility room used by assistants with Marketing Qualifications to run Marketing Campaigns; these can be used to increase the hospital's reputation, attract patients for specific treatment rooms or recruit staff at a higher rate and/or with specific qualifications.

This room is used to launch Marketing Campaigns. These can be initiated by selecting the Marketing Table, from the Room Inspector, or by simply dropping an Assistant with the Marketing Qualification into the room when there is no existing campaign running.

There are three types of marketing campaign:

• General Marketing campaigns are used to increase the hospital's reputation, larger campaigns having a larger effect, but at a higher cost.
• Illness Marketing campaigns will attract a higher proportion of patients for the corresponding room. It should be noted that this will not increase the overall number of patients; that is determined by hospital reputation and level, and subject to a hard cap on many earlier levels.
• Recruitment Marketing campaigns will either increase the rate at which corresponding recruits will appear in the Hiring Screen, or increase the likelihood that recruits will have the desired qualification.

Since campaigns can run for up to twelve months at a time, it is advised to place items to take care of the assistants' needs.

Appearance

The door to the room is plain white, with a speckled grey floor within. The walls feature a grey tessellating pattern of L-shaped blocks, with grey skirting boards.

Unlock

This room is unlocked during the Initial Objectives of Flemington

Staff

An  Assistant with the  Marketing Qualification will be required to run the room, who can be most suitably trained with further  Marketing Qualifications.

The room inspector allows the selection of up to four additional staff members in order to run more effective marketing campaigns.
